About Me

Hi, my name is Matt Blackwell. I grew up in Oklahoma but have also lived in Texas. I'm a football junkie and have been blessed to know some people who taught me a lot about the game over the years.

 

Getting into sports journalism was always an interest of mine going back to college days when I chose a career in project management rather than pursuing a journalism degree.

 

I'm fortunate to know some people who know some people in the coaching industry through both extended family and friends. Networking and relationship building has always been a strength of mine, and that's helped me as I've gotten my start covering recruiting.
