Spoke with a source on the OU side, and the anticipation in Norman is that if the Aggies season goes off the rails while the Sooners continue to show improvement defensively, things could get interesting. There is continued commitment on the NIL front from OU, and the sense I get is that will be true all the way up to signing day.
This was backed up by a source on the recruit side who feels there could be a change of direction should the right circumstances come to fruition.
One other detail? There have been discussions internally about Todd Bates being on hand for one of McKinley's games before the season is over.
Don't get me wrong, a flip is highly unlikely at this point and there's a lot to overcome, but we'll keep an eye on it as the season progresses.
