The buzz around Grant Brix has picked up considerably this week. Over the last couple of weeks I had heard from Nebraska sources that their staff was feeling very confident about their position, and that was backed up by sources from other schools as well who had been in contact with Brix about his plans.
This week, many of those sources have changed their tune and momentum has switched to the Sooners. So much so that a commitment as soon as today would not surprise anyone.
This recruitment has been shrouded in mystery because the Brix family has kept the circle tight and stayed mostly quiet, especially over the last couple of weeks. If a decision truly has been reached then an announcement is likely to happen very soon. Otherwise, the timeline drags into the season and becomes even more uncertain.
