Heading into the day of McKinley's announcement, I've spent a good part of this afternoon and evening talking with sources connected to both OU and A&M.

The consistent message is confidence mixed with a great deal of uncertainty. Even those who are projecting the most confidence also confess they don't have concrete information about which hat Dominick will put on at 3:30pm on Friday.

A&M still seems to have the most momentum based on a few factors and are the betting favorite, but Dominick and his family have not tipped their hand to either staff at this point.

We may end up with something truly rare in today's recruiting environment, which is genuine uncertainty at the actual announcement.
