Offensive Line Recruiting Note

Grant Brix left Norman after the game against West Virginia with several on the OU staff believing he would be ending his recruitment shortly thereafter. We were told at the time that he had given the coaches assurances that OU was the pick. While that confidence still remains, the timeline has once again proven unreliable.

With Eddy Pierre-Louis out of the picture, the only other 2024 prospect we believe the Sooners are in the mix for is Tyler Mercer, the current Tulane commit from Prosper, TX. Indications are that if the OU staff decides to make a major push then a flip could happen but so far it's unclear how that will unfold.
