Update #2

Mettauer is expected to be at practice today. Some have tried to downplay events but multiple sources have indicated to us that things were taken too far in at least one of the scuffles. After some cooling off as of this morning the sense is that it will be business as usual today.

Had a chance to talk with another source about the specifics. Mettauer wasn't kicked off the team to our source's knowledge. There was a "bad" fight yesterday between Mettauer and a freshman walk-on DT. Both players were bloodied up and Mettauer reportedly needed stitches.

Allegedly there was another scuffle today between Mettauer and Da'Jon Terry. Mettauer was told to go cool off in the locker room.

Another source indicated Mettauer's locker was cleaned out at the end of practice today. Sources are unsure if Mettauer is simply taking some time off or if he's left for good on his own accord.

I'm working on confirmation of a few details, but according to multiple sources there was an extended altercation between McKade Mettauer and a freshman walk-on player that has led to Mettauer's locker being cleaned out.

One source is under the impression Mettauer has left the team, but it's unclear at this time if that's for good or a temporary suspension.

I'm in the process of verifying this information and other pieces of the story and will report back accordingly.
