In what has been an up and down process for OU, the latest we're hearing is OU may be making another run for the services of former LSU OL Zalance Heard.
Earlier in this week the sense we got from talking with sources at the various different schools vying for Heard was that Tennessee was the leader with Ole Miss close behind, and OU fading. Today we've been told the momentum has shifted a bit and OU is making up some ground.
I certainly wouldn't categorize OU as the leader just based on the information we've been given today and a commitment to Tennessee at any moment shouldn't come as a surprise, but it does seem that OU is at least still in the race at this time.
You left off Troy Everett who will probably be our starting
I love the young guys but playing Sophomores against 5th year Seniors DL in the SEC says you’re rebuilding..
It would be nice to get this guy, but let's pretend for a minute we don't. The cupboard isn't bare for Bedenbaugh.
LT: Brown, Howland, Akinkunmi
LG: Ozeata, EPL
C: Nwaiwu (Played Center in HS), Bates
RG: Taylor, Brooks
RT: Sexton, Autry
Depth is somewhat of an issue, but EPL and Brooks are guys who could and probably should challenge for early playing time. Akinkunmi has a tremendously high ceiling but needs some time. Autry is intriguing. He's already over 300 pounds and at 6'7 has great length. After a redshirt year could be like Orlando Brown 2.0
